About Mairaz
We make the dress. We don't pretend it's someone else's.
Mairaz produces made-to-order reproductions of Pakistani designer formalwear. That sentence does a lot of work, so let's be precise about it. The pieces you see here take their design cues from designer references, get cut and finished in Pakistan, and are sold under our own name. They aren't manufactured by the original houses, we hold no affiliation with them, and we claim none. If you want an original from a designer's own atelier, buy it from that designer. What we do is a different thing, and we'd rather say so on the first screen than bury it in the terms.
Nothing here sits in a warehouse
There's no stockroom. When your order comes in, someone cuts fabric for it, which is why we quote 15 to 20 working days rather than next-day delivery, and why an order placed six weeks before a wedding is comfortable while one placed ten days before is not. If you're working to a date, email us before you order and we'll tell you honestly whether it's possible.
Three ways to buy the same design
Unstitched. You receive the fabric components: shirt panels, dupatta, trouser, embroidered borders and patches. Take them to your own tailor. It's the cheapest route and the right one if you already have someone who knows how you like to be cut.
Standard stitched. Pick a size from XS to 3XL, tell us your height, and we stitch to that.
Custom stitched. Send us your measurements and we cut to them: bust, waist, hip, shoulder, sleeve, shirt length, trouser length. If anything in that list looks ambiguous, we'll email you before anyone touches the fabric. A slightly awkward exchange beats a garment that doesn't fit.
What varies, and why
Embroidery placement shifts by a few millimetres between pieces. Shades run warmer or cooler between dye lots. Artisans do the 3D floral work and hand embellishment by hand, so no two pieces come out identical. That's the trade-off you accept with handwork, and if you need something machine-identical to a photograph then this isn't the right purchase for you. Screens also lie about colour, particularly on saturated reds and the deeper greens.
Getting it to you
Shipping is free on every order, worldwide, sent by DHL or SkyNet with tracking. Import duty and VAT are a separate matter: your country sets them, the carrier collects them, and they're payable by you. Since the United States ended its $800 de-minimis exemption in August 2025, orders going to the US will usually attract duty. Better you know that now than at your front door.
